Dear Experts
After I copy into a formatted excel 7 worksheet (unchecking on Merge & center, text wrapping etc) the original formatting is lost. How do i retain it. Please advise.
Regards
Vilas

Re: Retain format
From where do you copy?
- Another location in the same workbook, or
- Another workbook, or
- Another application, or
- A web page, or
- Something else (if so: what?)

Re: Retain format
I cannot recreate that issue. When I paste content from a web page, I have to unwrap the text, but the formatting does not get lost?
What happens if you paste it into Word first (keeping the source formatting), then copy the content in Word and then paste into Excel. Does that help?

Re: Retain format
When you click on the lower half of the Paste button in Excel after copying some text from a web page, you should see two buttons under 'Paste Options':
The one on the left is 'Keep Source Formatting', and the one on the right 'Match Destination Formatting'.
Does it help if you select 'Keep Source Formatting'?

Apologiers to both of you, I have not had the opportunity to work on your suggestions. I will do the same and come back.
