Begin Excel row numbering with "0"
In any new Excel spreadsheet, the rows come automatically numbered as follows: 1, 2, 3, etc. Is it possible to start the numbering from 0 or to otherwise prevent Excel from numbering the first row? The first row in my document contains headers and I want the number 1 to correspond to the actual contents of the spreadsheet rather than to the header.

No, that is not possible. The numbering of the rows is fixed.
And before you ask: it isn't possible to change the column letters either.

...except if you switch to R1C1 notation.

But if you do, the column numbering will start at 1; it is not possible to change that.

You're being too exact again Hans; my evil grin was just referring simply to A,B,C's becoming 1,2,3's.
