Hello,
My Excel 2013 stops working after right-clicking on an active-X control on my sheet. This never happened in Excel 2007.
Any ideas?
Windows 10 64bit, Office 2013.

Re: Excel Stops after clicking "Properties"
Can you elaborate on "stops working"? Does it crash and restart or does it hang or does it do nothing?
There was a past problem with ActiveX controls which could be fixed by deleting *.exd files but this was a year or so ago with an update that broke the buttons.

Excel has stopped to function. If there is a solution to your problem you will be notified. Clicking on the button closes Excel.

Re: Excel Stops after clicking "Properties"
Here is a link that provides fixes to the problem I mentioned earlier (regarding broken ActiveX controls).
Its maybe worth a try to see if any of the advice it mentions could help to resolve your issue.
If it does not, ensure that you install the latest updates or as a last resort try running Office Repair.
Maybe others here will provide additional support before you get to the point of repairing office, etc...

Re: Excel Stops after clicking "Properties"
I find that cleaning out the temp folder can also prevent unexpected errors in Office apps.
Something else you could try (whether it will work or not, I dunno) is the following:
Press [Win]+R shortcut on keyboard to open Run
Type: %temp%
Click OK
A window will open that contains all the files and folders of your Temp Directory
Select all the content (CTRL+A)
Delete all. (There are temp files...it is safe to do so!)

No effect. Went back to 2007 for troubleshooting purposes. Will start a new thread with the remaining "strange things that are happening around me"
I don't know how to mark a topic as solved.

You don't need to mark topics are solved or closed here.
You can generally just post a note to say that your issue is resolved or provide a solution if you have come across one yourself.
