Re: Automatic close
I assume that you mean 'idle' instead of 'ideal'.
Please define exactly and in detail what you mean by 'idle'.

Re: Automatic close
sorry. Yup.
Its Idle not ideal.
If user forget to close down the excel and left idle for 5 min , i would like to auto save and close excel automatically so that other users in the network can open the same file if they want to
thanks

Re: Automatic close
I have mutliple team members using one spreadsheet and on the chance someone goes to lunch and leaves the spreadsheet open, no one else can't be accesssed.
What I need is a macro that autosaves the shared workbook, then closes it if left idle for a period of time (say 5 mins).( For your information: I would like to autosave and close the shared workbook )
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Automatic close
What if the user is filling in a userform? During that time the workbook itself may be "idle", so it would be closed after 5 minutes...
Best wishes,

Re: Automatic close
I assume that the workbook will be used by multiple users within the same office. If user A keeps the workbook open and user B wants to use it, can't B ask A (in person, or by phone or e-mail) to close it?
Best wishes,
Hans
