Excel formula or any source to know the dictionary meaning

Post by PRADEEPB270 »

Is there any excel formula or any other source to know the all English Dictionary ( USA/England ) meaning of a word?

For an example:-

If I want to know the meaning of a word "Empty", then,it should shown as "remove all the contents of (a container)."Ample",it should shown as "enough or more than enough; plentiful.

How is possible with the help of any excel tool?

Google Define can define the meaning of words. Excel does not have a thesaurus so cannot naively provide any meanings.
Your best bet is to try incorporate a Google definition by maybe placing the word in a cell and running a hyperlink to Google to define the word.
This is just my :2cents: idea.

I added a sample workbook to my previous reply if you are interested.
I must apologise. On inspection I see Excel 2013 does have a thesaurus? Possible older versions to. Just NEVER used it in an Excel context :sorry:
A thesaurus simply gives synonyms of words..not necessarily their meanings.

In what context are you trying to work with this?
