Pivot Chart
Is thr a way to format a pivot chart so that the horizontal axis is a drop down selection? at the moment i need to open the field list and uncheck the axis values

Can you explain what you mean? Would you like to select the field that provides the x-axis values from a dropdown list? That would be difficult, since a pivot table/pivot chart can have multiple Axis (Categories) fields.
