Wonky scroll speed in Excel

Post by dmcnab »

Hi all...I have a multi-page workbook....the vertical scroll speed for one (and only one) of the worksheets is hyper-speed....I have checked the mouse settings etc etc...nothing has changed from 'yesterday', but now, suddenly, the speed is superfast, but only on one page....any ideas as to what could be causing this? Thanks.

If you press CTRL+END on the "super fast" sheet, where do you end up?

ON the 3 normal-speed sheets, I end up around row 5000 (there are close to that many rows being formatted/used on each sheet..on the superfast page, I end up about row 10,000

OK, that is the problem.

To reset the scrolling speed (and also the last used cell)

1. Select all rows below the actual last cell of your spreadsheet. (Tip To do this quickly, select the entire row below your data, and press CTRL+SHIFT+Down Arrow.)
2. Right click on a selected row number, and choose Delete (to delete all empty rows)
3. Save the file.

To test if the last cell is reset, press CTRL+END again.
It should now go to the last cell that has actual content in it, and the scrolling should not be so fast now.
