in word 2007
Word 2007 can insert tickboxes.
in Developer tab, in Controls group, click Legacy Tools, click ActiveX checkbox
I would like to add a cross-box ie a box with a cross
and be interactive as well
ie a toggle double click inserts a cross
double click removes the cross
do you know how i can do this easily in Word?
pls see screen capture
thank you

Re: how do i insert a cross box?
One option is to use the check box from Legacy Tools > Legacy Forms:
But that will only work if you protect the document for forms.
Otherwise, you'd have to use regular characters in combination with some code - see Add Interactive Toggle Objects to Word Documents on Greg Maxey's website.
