In Word 2007 SP1, I seem unable to have different custom watermarks in section 1 and section 2. The Headers do NOT show as being linked, but when I change a custom watermark in either section, the other section watermark changes as well. The only way I seem to be able to have a difference between sections is to use DRAFT in section 2. Then section 1 does not show a watermark.
What I want is section 1 to show 1st DRAFT and section 2 to show 2nd DRAFT. It seems I need to split my document in two to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Watermark by Section
Word will insert the same watermark in all sections, but you can edit the text of a particular watermark after that:
- Activate the header by double-clicking in it.
- Navigate to the watermark you want to edit.
- Select it by clicking somewhere on the text.
- Activate the Format tab of the ribbon.
- Click Edit Text.
See attached sample document.
