Can't remove last page

Post by Peter Kinross »

I have a page break at the end of 2 columns that is causing an unwanted blank page at the end of the doc.
I inserted a 'Continuous' break just before it (see pic) and then deleted the 'Page' break.
The 'Continuous' break just changes back to a 'Page' break and I am left still stuck with the unwanted page.
The para marker on the unwanted page won't delete, nor will using backspace just before it do anything.

I'd convert the columned text back to one column, delete the continuous section breaks and the page break (if it is still there).
Once the document is restructured, I'd select the necessary text and reapply the columns command.

Worth a try if it's not too much effort...

In your image I see 2 section breaks.
The last one says "Next Page", which is a "Page Break"

Thanks guys, some interesting suggestions there. What a wealth of knowledge there is in this wonderful Lounge.
Rudi takes the prize. I made the 2 col part 1 col, removed all section breaks then the 2 col part and back to 2 cols again. Not as simple as it sounds, I had to fight Word every inch of the way. But it is now looking good.
So thanks to our Sith Ifrican Lounger.
