Word 2010 document - typing anything gives blanks!

Post by John Gray »

Someone has received a Word document in the form of a table from off of the internet.
It should be possible to type data into the empty cells - but anything that is typed simply appears as spaces!

Saving the document using a different name and opening the saved document gives the same results.

I've never encountered this before, so would be interested in suggestions!

All my life I have tried multiplying really large numbers by zero.
That amounted to nothing.

Alan - you must be equally brilliant, but second!

I am not sure of the mentality of whoever created the original document - unless it was intended for printing out and writing on as well...

But if I'd seen it first, I would have been first! I'm happy with that.

I have seen a few like that, designed to be printed on dark paper. But to send it in that form is either careless or crazy.
