Word 2016 not showing table gridlines by default

Any suggestion as to how to make Word 2016 (for Windows not mac) to show table gridlines by default. At the moment I'm having to turn them on for every document I open.

Don't bother, it seems to be behaving itself now. It did it to make me look stupid as it knew I'd asked the question here.
