Not Responding
Word 2013 shows Not Responding when trying to open any document, even when opened in Safe Mode. Suggestions?

Re: Not Responding
Has this started occurring recently? If so, you might perform a system restore to a date before the problem started. This won't affect your documents and other data.
Best wishes,

Re: Not Responding
Started after creating and printing a Word 2013 docx file. Save As had a problem. Will try a System Restore.

Re: Not Responding
System Restore failed, but after power off then on, all systems go. Word and Excel operate normally.
When I do Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > I see Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 v15.04569.1506, and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 - en-us v15.04823.1004. Right-clicking either, "Repair" does not show as an option.

I note Hans's responses.Sundog wrote:Word 2013 shows Not Responding when trying to open any document, even when opened in Safe Mode. Suggestions?
I usually get the "Not responding" when MSWord has been handed a corrupt document.
I'm not saying WHO corrupted it, but I have my suspicions.
If the document is precious, I recreate it, sometimes by saving it as an RTF, reloading Word, and importing the RTF into a new document which I then save as a document.
I believe that if you isolate the document/worksheet that was active at the time Office failed you will have found the source of the problem.
