I would like to create USPS bar code characters in a word 2013 mail-merge document using the input data (zip+4) which is in an Excel file. Is this doable?
TIA

Are the codes in formula state in Excel?
What happens if you copy and paste as values and then use this Excel file as the source for a mail merge.
Do the bar codes display?

Re: Creating USPS bar code in mail-merge
Have you looked at Fonts and Encoders Download from the USPS. One of the downloads is uspsEncoderMsOffice-1.3.1.zip, with description
USPS Intelligent Mail barcode Encoder distribution for MS Office 32-bit edition applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access, running on either 32-bit or 64-bit MS Windows operating systems. The distribution includes procedures and sample templates for performing a Mail Merge operation from MS Excel or MS Access to MS Word.
Best wishes,
Hans

Hans and Rudi,
Thanks for the information. I now think I have enough information to proceed. I had hoped all I needed was to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks again,
Paul
