Hi all
I had to send a Word document to a Government department for approval, some buffoon has turned on the track changes features and for the lift of me I can't get rid of it
1. Review - Track Changes - The icon shows whether I click it to turn it on or off
2. Ctrl+Shift+E only turns it on and not off
3. Show Markup - I have unchecked everything
4. Selected Final
It looks OK but if I close and open it again or email it to somebody the track changes are back on, why can't people just highlight things like they used to!!

Re: Track changes (Word 2007)
You have to accept (or reject) the changes in the document:
- Activate the Review tab of the ribbon.
- Click the lower part of the Accept button.
- Select 'Accept all changes in document'.
- If you'd rather reject all changes, click the lower part of the Reject button and select 'Reject all changes in document' instead.
- You should be able to turn off (unhighlight) the Track Changes button.
Best wishes,
Hans

I thought that proper office (2003) would put me in an early grave but 2007 will have me spiralling toward it faster. Thanks as usual for your support

Re: Track changes (Word 2007)
I doubt that it would have been different in Word 2003...
Best wishes,
