Hi,
I have a user who is trying to do an email merge.
She has the form letter
She has an Excel file containing a list of email addresses
In Word she connects to the Excel list as source and then clicks finish and merge (choosing Merge to Email with HTML)
Nothing gets sent???
If she chooses Merge to Email with Plain Text, the merge completes successfully, but HTML is dead!
Anyone know the issue?
I have spotted this in other threads, but advice there offers no solutions...\

Re: Merge to Email (HTML) not working
I did a test using Office 2010; the messages were sent without a hitch, so mailmerge to e-mail using HTML format is not universally broken. I can test in Office 2013 later today.
Was Outlook open when the user ran the mailmerge?
Have you checked the user's Outbox? Occasionally messages get stuck there.

Re: Merge to Email (HTML) not working
Hi,
I have tested on my work PC running Office 2013 and Exchange. The HTML format of mail merge went through no problems? The person is question though is linked to two accounts. They log out of one account and then log into the second account to do the merge. (They use the Mail Icon in control panel to login).
Outlook was open when they attempted the merge.
We did check the outbox. Nothing there.
Oh, and the HTML format does not work in their default account either.
I'm not sure what else to check? Hope you or anyone else has some more bright ideas?
TX

Re: Merge to Email (HTML) not working
Have you tried the steps suggested by Peter Jamieson (a Word expert and an MVP) in the second and third threads you linked to?
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Merge to Email (HTML) not working
There is one I can still try; switch off add-ins and reattempt.
The user (as mentioned above) does have two accounts. I can delete one account and retry, but ultimately this account must persist as it is the one that must send the emails.
TX...will stay in touch with results...
