Since I can't sync QAT by creating a hard link to the Word.officeUI in a Dropbox folder, the next best alternative seems to hard link the entire C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OFFICE folder. Unfortunately, C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OFFICE is excessively large for syncing due to what seems to be the cache files under the "15.0" subfolder.
Is there any way to have Office look to a different folder for cache? If that's possible, I'll delete the "15.0" subfolder, make C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OFFICE folder leaner, and create a hard link to the entire C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OFFICE folder in Dropbox.
[Office 2013] Can you change location of the cache files?

I don't really know, but it looks like the location cannot easily be changed.
Best wishes,
