[Word 2003]
How do you set a "space after" a table (the white space between the lower border of the table and the following paragraph)?
I've been tinkering with an empty "dummy" paragraph after a table, but I can't prevent a situation where the dummy paragraph is separated from the table and ends up falling at the beginning of next page, creating unnecessary white space at the top of next page.
Any neat trick for this?

Re: Space after a table?
How about an extra row where the borders have been removed?

Or click in the paragraph below the table, activate the Format > Paragraph dialog and set the Spacing before:

I tend to move tables around during editing.HansV wrote:Or click in the paragraph below the table, activate the Format > Paragraph dialog and set the Spacing before:

If there is no other way, then yes, it could work. Although it will involve a good amount of labor.Rudi wrote:How about an extra row where the borders have been removed?

Re: Space after a table?
If your table is inline with the text, there is no better way.
If you let the table float by setting Text Wrapping to Around instead of None:
then you can set the distance between the bottom of the table and the text:
(This may apply to Word 2007 and later only, I don't have 2003)

Re: Space after a table?
The Table Positioning dialog is exactly the same in Word 2003.
