I am trying to reducing the page size of a document I am working with. I am unable to do so because the column widths are not set to equal. When I set them to equal, the preceding section break automatically changes from Continuous to Next Page. Manually changing it back through Page Setup | Layout | Section start | Continuous has no effect; the break remains next page.
Is there a way to prevent Continuous page breaks from become Next page breaks? If not, is there a way to change them back to Continuous?
Continue page break

Re: Continue page break
Which version of Word are you currently using? I can't reproduce the problem in Word 2010 - continuous section breaks remain continuous section breaks when I set the column widths to be equal.
Best wishes,

Re: Continue page break
I don't believe so. In any event, to save time, rather than troubleshoot this, I simply wrote the document to pdf and scaled it to the right size in Bluebeam rather than change each section to the right size in Word.
