Word background printing

I am trying to get my documetn to print out with a black background. I have added a black background and went to Tools | Options | Print and selected Background printing.

However, my background continues to print white. How can I get it white?

"Background printing" means that you can go on working in Word while the document is being printed. If it's off, you have to wait until the document has finished printing before you can work in Word again.

The option that you want is "Print background colors and images".
In Word 2007 and 2010, it's found in the Display tab of the Word Options dialog.
In Word 2003, it's in the Print tab of Tools | Options...
