I'm using Office 365 and trying to insert Page n of m in a footer. I've only managed to insert the actual page number.
Help is not helpful!
Can anyone advise on how to achieve this, please?
Thanks

Re: Page n of m
Click where you want the total number of pages (m).
Press Ctrl+F9 to insert field brackets { } (do not type them yourself, that wont work).
Type NUMPAGES between the brackets so that you see { NUMPAGES }
Press F9 to hide the field code and to update the result.

Re: Page n of m
This didn't work. It inserted the page number OK but not 'page n of m'.
I've fixed it by going to Insert | Page Number |Bottom of Page | Page X of Y and then choosing position (left, middle, right).

Re: Page n of m
The NUMPAGES field shows the total number of pages in the document, not the number of the current page...
Best wishes,
