To try and get a useable spam filter, I have changed from Outlook 2003 to 2007, but I still want to use Word 2003 as the email editor. is there any way to do that?
Failing that; in Word 2003, I have a menu item that places any one of 6 signatures at the cursor position. This is done using vba. Is there any way to do that in Word 2007?

Outlook 2007 automatically uses a Word-like editor, there is no other option.
The Include group in the Home tab of the ribbon has a button to insert signatures when you're composing a new e-mail message.
The screenshot below is from Outlook 2010 but the idea is the same in Outlook 2007.

Ha ha. That's neat. It works.
Would you know if it is possible to alter the order of the signatures as listed. Currently they are listed alphabetically - not quite what I was after.

As far as I know, you can't change the order in which the signatures are listed, sorry.

Solved. I prefixed each signature name with a number.

Dang! I knew it was too easy.
Now Word 2007 within Outlook 2007 inserts the first signature whenever I start a new email. There has to be a way of stopping that (I hope).

There should be a way to stop any default signature - below is from Outlook 2010, but I'm fairly certain the option has been around for some time.

Yes, the same method worked in older versions too.
