USB Connection for Android Mobile

Post by ChrisJakarta »

I connect my Samsung Galaxy Ace Android mobile phone to Windows XP via USB on a couple of computers. On my netbook, no problem occurs. But on my Acer notebook, each time I connect, it tries to find the Samsung Android Composite ADB interface, without success, resulting in the "Cannot install this hardware" message. In the Device Manager, the ADB Interface appears correctly on the netbook, but with an error on the notebook. The driver files used by the netbook are all available on the notebook. I have tried to manually install the driver (Update Driver) on the notebook, without success.

I appreciate that there may not be many (if any) users of this phone in the Lounge, but perhaps someone can point me in the direction of solutions, It's not a huge problem, since this appears only to affect USB debugging, but it's a pain to go through the process of searching for drivers each time I connect.

I'd be grateful for any pointers...
