SITUATION:
buyed new monitor LG 22m37a
i connect on my old cirrus logic adapter 5446.
no good resolution.
unistall, phisically, from pc the cirrus adapter.
connect the new monitor directlly to the rgb port on my materbord.
now the new monitor have a perfect resolution 1920*1080 (suggested standard resolutio from LG)
but pro!
the screen flickering!!!!

note:
for example when i croll the code in my vba ide the scrollig refresh very slow

Have you checked your refresh rate?

Sal,
I think you also need a new up to date video graphics adapter.
If you are running your new monitor on the old default VGA mode, I would think you would have a terrible looking screen.
