Hiding a Win 7 User Account

Post by DaveInPitt »

Hi Gurus! Anyone know of a way to hide a Windows 7 user account? I don't want to delete the account, just want to hide it, if possible. It's not the "Administrator" account, it's another account with Admin privileges. Thanks Everyone! :coffeetime:

Please post back here if you find a solution elsewhere. I would find this useful too.

Thanks Hans! I also came across this - which worked too.

you can do this through secpol.msc

1. click Start->Run->secpol.msc
2. Navigate to Local policies -> Security settings
3. Find the entry "Interactive Logon: Hide last user..." and set it to activated.
4. Reboot the machine
