Windows Displayed Horizontal/Vertical

Post by jstevens »

How does one display various windows either horizontal or verticle in Windows 2007?

In XP I was able to right click on the windows minimized on the task bar and select display horizontal or vertical. In Windows 2007 all I see are options to "Control Panel, Pin to Taskbar and Close Window".

Thanks,
John

Right-click an empty part of the taskbar.
The context menu will contain options "Cascade windows", "Show windows stacked" and "Show windows side by side".
Best wishes,
Hans

Hans has given you the answer; you can also use the Snap feature in Windows 7 (using the side by side etc. via the Taskbar changes the size of the windows permanently, Snap doesn’t).

That is not entirely true: if you select "Show windows side by side", a new option will appear in the context menu: "Undo show side by side".
Best wishes,
Hans

That, on the other hand, is true.
