Update path of multiple shortcut links in a folder

Hi all,

I have a few hundred shortcut links in a folder on my harddrive. They all point to files in various locations on the C:\ drive. I have since moved all these files to the D:\ drive, so now the shortcuts do not work anymore. Is there a small appl. or a batch file code that anyone can help me with to modify the path of the shortcut to point to the D:\ drive.

Hi Guys,

After a bit of a search, I came across this GREAT application (portable) that does a very good job based on my previous post requirements. Most of Googles search results provided batch file scripts to do the job, but who can remember all those intricate commands in this GUI era!!!

This little appl. does the job in a very user-friendly dialog...

I have found this tool very useful too a few weeks ago when I transferred a few hundred files to a new drive/directory.

PS:
Here is another VERY useful tool to collect files to one location, or create shortcuts to a directory. Experiment with this portable app to get a good idea of several capabilities it has.

I revisited this app again as I needed to update the path of a few dozen links.
I see it is being maintained nicely and the last update was: March 31 2014
