WU April 2017 (KB4015552)

Post by Roderunner »

Hi Folks,
When restarting my Desktop PC to complete the installation as in my image, it got to 30% and froze. I left it for an hour, nothing changed.
So I forced a restart and it was completed OK.
It did the same on my Laptop.

Thanks for the heads-up. I can't find any other mentions of this particular problem (yet).
Best wishes,
Hans

By the way, the "Preview of ..." updates are early versions of updates whose definitive release will be one month later. Unless such an update solves an urgent problem, I would avoid it - better wait for the 'normal' release.
Best wishes,
Hans

"April 2017 Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7" is a sneak peek of the "May 2017 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7" which will be released on the 2nd Tuesday of May.

Then on the 3rd Tuesday of May, Microsoft will release "May 2017 Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7" which will be a prerelease of the June rollup etc.

I admit that the naming is slightly confusing.
Best wishes,
Hans
