Mouse single click

Post by viking33 »

OK...I finally broke down and bit the bullet to get WIN 7. Used some of my Amex Rewards Points to get it, so it was financially painless. Installed the 64 bit version in a new partition, so I can still triple boot XP,Vista and now Win7. I'm now in the process of tweaking and setting options to my way, not MS. Good show!

One thing I didn't notice was an option to set the mouse click to "single click" as it is in XP or Vista? Checked mouse settings etc. but no go.

Anyone know of how I can set this?

Try this. In Windows Explorer go to Organize | Folder and search options | General. Use the "Click Items as follows" section.

Same as all other versions
Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, and then the View tab.

But by default, the menu bar is hidden in Windows Explorer in Windows 7, so you either have to know that you can display the menu bar by pressing Alt, or you can click Organize | Folder and Search Options.
Best wishes,
Hans

Hans and Dave,
Excellent. That shook some of the cobwebs out of my brain and it works fine now.
