Hiding Files

Post by RonH »

In the file structure of W7 is there any way of hiding certain files on a 'permanent basis eg adding them to 'Hidden Files & Folders'. I am specifically looking to hide .vix & .aix files that I do not need to access but which are cluttering up my Video folders.
Thanks Ron

I don't quite understand why you are trying to hide these files. I don't know of any way to change certain files into System files? ( which is what Hidden Files & Folders are )

Thanks Rudi ... does what I need and you can hide in bulk.
Reason for wanting to visually hide them is that they are created for each video file that I work on in an editing programme that I use AND on every other similar video file in the folder accessed ... gets to build into a messy folder.

Be aware that once hidden, is there a way to see them to unhide them?
