When I "Personalize" my Windows 7 Desktop the Aero Themes all display black boxes, yet the themes work. One of those silly things that make you wonder
TIA

Re: Aero Display Problem
Have you run a system cleaning tool that may have deleted the pictures used in the theme display?

Well, the pictures were missing but I grabbed them from my other PC and the themes seemed to work. I wonder if I didn't save them to the correct spot? I put them in Windows/Web/Wallpaper. Or, maybe the actual theme file is missing. Do you know where Microsoft saves those?JoeP wrote:Have you run a system cleaning tool that may have deleted the pictures used in the theme display?

Re: Aero Display Problem
That's strange. I use a personalized custom theme, so I never paid much attention to the Aero themes. I brought up the personalize screen and my Aero themes look the same as yours. Just a black box?sobershea wrote:Yes, I updated it and there is no change.
Since I don't use them, it doesn't bother me, I just went back to my old theme. I'll have to look further into this, I don't think it's correct to show up like that.
