Hello.
When I download files, images, from the internet I go to the file in Explorer, right-click it, and Unblock.
Is there a way that I can do this for several files at once? I presume there is a setting somewhere that would disable this feature..? But I think I'd prefer to keep it intact.
Andy.

Re: Unblock in one go
You could download the Streams utility from Sysinternals and install it in a folder in your path.
You can then run something like this from the command line in a command prompt window:
streams -d c:\myfolder\*.txt
to unblock all .txt files in C:\MyFolder, or
streams -s -d c:\myfolder\
to unblock all files in C:\MyFolder and all its subfolders.
Do not use this indiscriminately - some other files (i.e. not downloaded ones) might use streams for other purposes, so you shouldn't remove streams from ALL files.

Ta Hans, and hi!
In a similar vein, I have a (My) Documents folder on a USB pen but it is permanently 'hidden' and 'system'. That is, each time I try to read the pen I have to unhide it and view system files. Is there a similar tool to fix this? Andy.
[I may have asked a similar question before(?) and the answer might be to delete it and re-copy it..]

I struggle to find previous posts although, I must admit, that (on this occasion only!) I was a bit lazy. Ta.
