Windows Explorer disappears while copying.
I've just reinstalled windows 7 64 bit from scratch. Now when I try to copy a file to any USB drive via windows explorer either dragging and dropping or cutting and pasting Explorer vanishes - the window closes though the file is copies. Sometimes I get an error message. Has anyone seen this behaviour. Do I need to update my bios - just got a new motherboard? Or is it something else? Very disconcerting behaviour.

Re: Windows Explorer disappears while copying.
What does the error message say? Does it name a specific .exe or .dll?
I found one suggestion - no idea whether it'll help, but it's worth a try and easily undone if not:
- Start Windows Explorer.
- Click Organize > Folder and Search Options.
- Activate the View tab.
- Clear the check box "Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items".
- Click OK.
