There is only 1 account on my Windows 7 machine. It is Owner/Administrator. I am trying to follow these instructions:
Add Delete Button to Windows 7 Explorer Toolbar
1. Open the Start Menu, then type regedit in the search box and press enter.
2. In regedit, navigate to each location below. (see left screenshot below step 4)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderTypes
3. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.
4. In the left pane under FolderTypes, right click on a {long number} key below and click on Permissions. Take ownership (step 3 in Option Two of Method TWO at this link) of this key, and Allow your administrator account Full Control of the key. Repeat this for each {long number} key below. (see screenshots below)
NOTE: The screenshots below are numbered in order to help make doing this step easier to do.

{b3690e58-e961-423b-b687-386ebfd83239}
and when I make the change to allow "Full Control" It says "Unable to save permission changes, Access denied" Why would this be happening and how do I make the changes listed above?
Thanks

Re: Administrative Privileges In Windows 7
First I see no screen shots, where are they?
Second, there are TWO accounts on your machine, unless you "Renamed" the "Administrator" account to your account name.
Yes the Administrator account is hidden and is used every time you do a "Run as Administrator".
What version of Windows 7 is on this machine?

I just realized the answer may be in the link that is mentioned above but if not I'll be back. It seems like a rather length process so I'm not sure it is the answer but I'll look into it.

Re: Administrative Privileges In Windows 7
Have you tried going into Windows Explorer (or My Computer), navigating to C:\Windows\regedit.exe, right clicking on it, and selecting "Run as administrator" from the drop-down menu?

Or Start, type Regedit in the lower search box, and when the regedit is listed, right click and select "Run as Administrator".
