Sending Private Messages

Post by BobH »

When I indite a message or send a reply privately and choose to send it, I see it sit in my outbox for awhile. How long does it stay there? Is there an action or event that causes it to be sent? Will it disappear from my PM outbox once actually sent to the recipient?

 :chocciebar: :thankyou:

It will stay there until read by any recipient. As with the old software version, and some other forums, unlike email clients.

A search in this subforum for 'outbox' will show a couple of threads on the topic ...

Hi Bob.
Here's another trap for young players (Well, it caught me):-
Untitled.png
There is a delay of about two seconds after this screen appears.
I thought I had to do something, so I clicked on "Return to the User Control Panel", and on at least one occasion I clicked just as the screen changed (or something)..
I have since then trained myself (or been trained by EL) to wait.
Cheers
Chris
