Re: Log in issue on chrome
Try entering http://www.eileenslounge.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in the address bar.
Best wishes,

I don't use Chrome myself. Firefox works fine both on my PC and on my Android phone...

Re: Log in issue on chrome
Initially on some of my newer machines, I still had the Window saying about the move to the new server. After either refreshing a few times or re typing the site in the URL bar, then that issue was gone. But possibly some sort of security issue / Certificate remains..... A warning comes up , as shown below, preventing me from reaching the site....
On my older machines, XP , Vista, ( and I expect they have very old Google Chrome versions), I overcome the problem in Google Chrome by simply using www. and no versions of http / https before it
For my newer machines with Windows 10 and Windows 7 ( and correspondingly I expect newer Google Chrome ) , I am prevented from typing in just www. - It insists on having either http://www" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. or https://www" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
If I use either of those on any of my machines, old or new, with Google Chrome, I get initially a warning: At this warning window I hit the button shown bottom left for further details.
Win 7 Win 10 Eileen login.JPG : https://imgur.com/iYtvuxJ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; A second window then gives me the option, bottom left. to view the site and ignore the security issues, which I do, and then I can get to the site, and log in normally
Win 7 Win 10 Eileen login.JPG : https://imgur.com/Sxcipfz" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This issue with Eileen's Lounge and Google Chrome appears to be new to me, since the Lounge came back up after the break for the move. - But I can get over the problem as described, and have visted using Google Chrome on many machines, new and old, since the move.
_.___
( A few years back, both excelforum.com and excelfox.com had this same issue. ( http://www.excelfox.com/forum/showthrea ... ox-Warning" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) In that case it was that newer Chrome versions had an issue with the Phishing problems at that time which were plaguing many forums. After those problems were apparently solved, the Google warnings were somehow no longer there . ( Firefox also had the same issue with those forums at that time ) )
Alan
P.s. this is the approximate translation of the Google warning..
This server couldn't prove that it was http://www.eileenslounge.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Its security certificate is classified as untrustworthy by your computer's operating system. Possible reasons are incorrect configuration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

The lounge has a new IP address.adeel1 wrote:I have issue to log'in in google chrome, still msg is showing that "Down for transfer to new host."
It can take a few days for every DNS server in the world to get updated, in the meantime some DNS servers will still be pointing to the old lounge.
If you get the old lounge from Chrome and the new lounge from other browsers this is most likely because Chrome is using a different DNS server.
The most likely reason for this is that you have configured Chrome to use DNS over https

Re: Log in issue on chrome
I suggest yet more patience, it will be a DSN thing.
Yesterday afternoon I saw 'down for transfer' no matter what device / browser I used. Then, in the evening, I was able to get in using my home PC and FF.
First thing this morning having 'gone to work', aka booted up my work laptop (that connects to my work systems over a VPN), I couldn't get in, even though I was using FF. Now though, a few hours later, my work systems have caught up and rejoined the party.

We're working on getting a valid certificate for Eileen's Lounge. It'll probably take a few days before it's activated.
Best wishes,

Re: Log in issue on chrome
You can see how slow the DNS propagation is by looking at a selection of different DNS servers here.

We received a message from Nabeel, but it was marked as spam, and it was virtually unreadable. Also, it was not from the email address that he registered with, so we ignored it.
The addresss "admin@eileenslounge.com" is valid.

Re: Log in issue on chrome
George,
Those messages are expected because the lounge is currently using a "self signed" certificate, so nobody trusts us to be telling the truth about who we are. We have applied for a signed certificate from a proper authority, but these take a while to arrive.

Thanks StuartR, still had to log in using http://www.eileenslounge.com/posting.ph ... 12&t=34438" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as my Chromebook would not accept https etc.

Re: Log in issue on chrome
Just modified sign on credentials in 1Password to change to https and it works fine on the iPad using Safari. Will later try it on the PC using Chrome.HansV wrote:You should now be able to use https:// to visit Eileen's Lounge.
As a side benefit, 1Password no longer classifies Eileenslounge as “Not Secure”
