Yes Thanks, Ian. I do use it.
When I fire up FireFox I am no longer logged in.
The login page shows my username and password, but the tick box is OFF and so, of course, I am not logged in automatically.

P.S. I now have two cats, so y'all don't have kittens, OK? My password is much longer than 3 characters. I edited the JPG so y'all wouldn't spend hours wondering what "****************************************" represented.

Are you saving the cookies that are needed to log you back in?

Chris, you might try throwing away the Lounge cookies (there's a link for this in the board footer), then tick the check box again when you log in. This has helped some others who had the same problem.
Best wishes,
Hans

Perhaps slightly related, sorry for adding to the off topic:
I usually don't care if I have to log on at every site when I come back; I too often delete the cookies also. So I'm used to having to log on. But I understand that it can be nifty.

That said, I noticed the other day that after some time, several hours, with the browser window still open (Fx) and more than one tab with the Lounge, I had been logged out. I have not yet used the "Log me on automatically each visit" (but in this case it wasn’t a new visit, never left, just low activity  ), but somehow (I didn't check) my cookies expired/something else happened and I was on the outside. (I didn't clean cookies or otherwise manage the browsers during that time.)

Any information on this?

I haven't had problems with remaining logged in, but on the other hand I haven't left my browser open without doing anything for extended periods of time. Offhand, I can't think of an explanation.
Best wishes,
Hans

Dave, Thanks.
Yes I am saving the cookies and no, I'm not running EasyCleaner or CCCleaner. FWIW I've found the CCCleaner does delete cookies whereas EasyCleaner does not (or maybe I've poorly configured it).
Being aware of my copy of CCCleaner's propensity for deleting cookies I've held of using anything like that for a few days.
I'll persevere.

Just did it (after the previous reply a minute ago.
"This will delete all cookies are you sure?" or similar.
Yes.
After a pause of about 2 seconds I am back at a screen, but logged out.
I choose LogIn and am presented with the Login screen (good!), the two textboxes are pre-filled (User/Pwd) but the checkbox is set OFF (I had set it on a couple of minutes ago.

I think I'd better run a controlled test.
(wanders off to Test Area .....)

That is the moment you should tick the check box!
