Space

Post by Roderunner »

Hi Folks, I have been looking at the area where members have their signatures. There seems to be no one size fits all.
Some with long posts (not wooden ones) can have a large or small sig. area same for short one liners (not as Titanic)

Do you mean here in Eileen's Lounge? The height of the signature depends on how many lines of text you enter and how they are formatted. But since posts have a minimum height, determined by the information displayed to the side, there may be some empty space below short posts.
Best wishes,
Hans

Most of what I post comes from a wooden head. Certainly none of my posts have titantic implications. :fanfare: :fanfare: :flee:

The signature size is relative to the design of your signature. If you have lots of data in your sig, or you have blank lines between the top and bottom text in your sig, the signature will display larger (taller). Take out the spaces and the sig will be smaller (shorter).

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

Let's take two of your posts, George.

The first post in this thread is short, only two lines or so. The height of the post is determined by the information block on the right hand side (in the prosilver skin). Since this is taller than your post, there is an empty space below your signature.

The first post in one of your earlier threads is much taller, with a screenshot thrown in. Since the contents are taller than the information block, the height of the post is determined by its contents. There is no empty space below the signature, but there is a lot of space below the information block.

Thanks Hans, I see now, I thought the sig area was a separate part of the page.
