I just submitted a PM and (I think) got a message that it had been successfully sent. But I can only see a copy sitting in the outbox, with no apparent way to send it from there. No appearance in the Sent Messages. Am I missing something here? I can't recall this happening before.

I thought they stayed in your outbox until they were read by the recipient. I could be wrong - I don't send that many...

Thanks Leif - that explains things. I can't get used to this "conversation" metaphor with e-mails. Gmail confuses me all the time with this.
