Edit a tag

Post by Rudi »

Something small, but is there any chance that the URL tag can be edited to add the "=" sign into the opening tag.
Its a minor frustration to type the = each time one creates a URL with "friendly text"

Appreciated...

Rudi

I fear it would then become a (minor) frustration for those who don't want the '=' inserted.

Ideally, there would be two icons, one for each style, but I suspect this is not available with the standard phpBB software.

I rarely type in URLs these days - I have a Firefox Add-on -Born Geek » Copy Link Text (CoLT) - which allows me to quickly add the correctly scripted link with a right click:

Nope, since, as Leif points out, the built-in URL tag has two forms:

[url]http://www.eileenslounge.com[/url]

and

[url=http://www.eileenslounge.com]Eileen's Lounge[/url]

(You can see this if you hover the mouse pointer over URL.)
Best wishes,
Hans

TX...just trying my luck.
I'll see if Chrome has an extension for BB Codes, otherwise not much of an issue.
