This message is strange and was displayed when I wanted to access the Lounge through my Safari browser:
You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to enter the confirm code from the image you see below.
And no, I hadn't tried to log in several times.
So I used Firefox and was logged in without the need for typing my username and password. Anyone have any idea why the message might have happened?
Maybe it is time I changed my password to something else?

Re: Log on attempts
And one more question about the page I'm seeing. If I do put my user name in and my password, it then asks me to answer a question.
It means I have to count!!!!! <gasp>
Seriously, is this all on the up and up?

Only on Safari?
Sounds like a real pain, IF it's legit.
I only use Firefox, so I can't verify this. (works fine )

Re: Log on attempts
It sounds like the Lounge cookie for Safari had become corrupt so that our software became confused about your login status. Each browser keeps its own cookies, so the Firefox cookie is completely independent of the Safari cookie.
If you still have problems using Safari, go to the board index http://www.eileenslounge.com/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and click the link "Delete all board cookies" (it's either near the top of the page or near the bottom, depending on the Lounge skin that you use). Then close the browser, and go to Eileen's Lounge again. You'll be asked to login again.

Re: Log on attempts
It sounds like you triggered one of our anti-spammer measures. There are many people who seem to think it would be a good idea to flood our lounge with adverts and links to inappropriate web sites and we use many techniques to keep them out. As Hans says, a corrupt cookie could be the cause.

Re: Log on attempts
I tried deleting the board cookies first but that didn't work, so I reset Safari and then went back for a log in. I still had to put in the required info that is used to stop spammers but at least I am now part of the community once again! Thanks for the explanations!
