How might I eliminate repeated notices of unread, but “removed” private messages from the digests?
At first I thought I had new PMs, but the digest points to PM that bear the slogan 'This message has been removed by the author" (or similar).
Handling of the PM appears to be beyond my control at this point.

I you still haven't read PMs from November 2011, I can understand that the author removed it...
But seriously, I don't think there is anything we can do about it. You could set "Add my unread private messages" to No.

Thanks Hans; I've set the switch to "NO".HansV wrote:I you still haven't read PMs from November 2011, I can understand that the author removed it... ...You could set "Add my unread private messages" to No.
FWIW the posts were removed before I had a chance to read them way back then; they are just sitting there ....
I guess my reputation for an evil response precedes me, and some people yank PMs because they are afraid of my response
