Here at home I'm having no problems reaching The Lounge but earlier today, from work, it was very hit and miss.

First thing I got in and read Claude's announcement and thought, wow no DNS delay, that's good but as soon as I navigated to another page I got a something wrong with the DNS lookup eror. Later I got the same effect. I appeared to reach the new home only to run into a DNS error. Just before I left I tried again and got a black & white 404 page.

I'll see how it is tomorrow.

Looks like the DNS server used by your company network caches entries longer than average.
Best wishes,
Hans

I think we might maintain our own DNS, not sure. I expect it will catch up eventually.

Isn't there an OS command to clear your local DNS cache? I can't remember what the command is but maybe that would help.

Wait, I just looked it up: ipconfig /flushdns

DNS uses a whole hierarchy of servers between you and the definitive source of correct data. Clearing the cache on your PC will cause it to interrogate the next one up the chain - this might be your router, otherwise it will be at your ISP, unless you have configured things differently for some reason

Thanks Al, that seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the great work; as usual!

Speedy is the word; it was quick before, at least for me, but it's working really nice now.

I can see if I can slow it down so you don't get a draft as the pages load
Cheers, Claude.
