During the last few days, we've had a large number of spammers registering (or attempting to register) new users. The admins have been able to ban most of them before they could become active, but occasionally one slips through and is able to post rubbish for a few minutes.
(Thanks to those who alerted the admins to the spam posts, by the way)
Unfortunately, this forces us to review newly registered users; this means that new users won't be able to post immediately, but will have to wait until an admin activates their account. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes, but we need to keep Eileen's Lounge free of spam.
We hope it'll be possible to turn this off again in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
